So I graduated back in May 2024 with a Biomedical Engineering degree with a 2.97 GPA. I was working full time as a restaurant manager during my sophomore year because I got a DUI during my freshman year. Worked 40 hours and was a full time engineering student also paying off legal fees all on my own at that point. Managed to work for awhile post graduation now as a project operations engineer at a data center (for over a year), and I was wondering, how cooked am I for grad school?
I just took my first mock GMAT exam (from GMAT starter kit that GMAC gives out for free) blindly and didn't do too hot on it (Q77 V78 DI72) for a 515. I know people say get an awesome score, but thinking about my profile, I wonder if I even have a shot. I feel like my main saving grace and strengths is my current work accomplishments and the recommendations my references would tell admissions.
Realistically, I'm not looking for M7 or T15, mainly schools below 100k, really liked UF Warrington program because they offer part time exec mba but also had the delusional thought of maybe shooting for UT Austin. Specialization wise I was thinking along the lines of project management and business/data analytics. I was wondering what people think of my case.
