Hi everyone,
I’d appreciate some guidance from the GMAT Club community, particularly from alumni or current students of LBS and Oxford Saïd.
Brief background:
I’m an ACCA-qualified finance leader with ~15 years of experience across the Middle East . My background includes senior finance roles at Caterpillar (SPM Oil & Gas) and KPMG, with a strong focus on FP&A, P&L ownership, cashflow, and strategic finance leadership.
The decision:
I currently hold offers from:
- London Business School – Executive MBA (Dubai stream)
- Oxford Saïd – Executive MBA
Given my location and career focus, the LBS Dubai stream is particularly attractive from a logistics and regional networking perspective, but I am carefully evaluating both programmes from a long-term career and brand standpoint.
I would value insights on:
- Brand strength and long-term career impact for senior leadership roles
- Alumni network strength, especially in the Middle East and globally
- Class profile and peer learning at the executive level
- Global exposure vs UK-centric experience
- Overall ROI for someone already in senior management
I’m not looking for a rankings-only comparison, but rather practical insights on outcomes, network leverage, and real post-EMBA value.
If you were in my position—Dubai-based and targeting senior finance/general management roles—which would you choose, and why?
Thank you in advance for your perspectives.
