ISB PGP YL Application: Key Points to Remember

Thinking about applying to the Indian School of Business's Post Graduate Programme for Young Leaders (PGP YL)? Here's a quick rundown of what you need to know (as of today):

ISB PGP YL Eligibility:

  • You need a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any field
  • Final year students can apply too, but must graduate by June 15, 2025
  • Work experience? Must be under 24 months (as of June 15, 2025)
  • GMAT, GRE, or CAT-2024 scores are a must
  • Non-native English speakers, have your TOEFL/IELTS ready

Test Scores:

  • GMAT or GRE? Only test center scores count (no online tests will be accepted for ISB PGP YL)
  • CAT takers, ISB will grab your scores directly (but don't forget to upload your CAT registration letter)
ISB PGP YL Application Components

  1. Essays: Three's the magic number
    • Leadership experience (400 words)
    • Your unique perspective (400 words)
    • Post-PGP YL plans (250 words)
  2. ISB PGP YL Recommendation:
    • One recommender who knows your work well
    • Recommendation Submission Deadline: December 9, 2024
  3. ISB PGP YL Interviews
    • Locations: Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, or Online
Important Dates for ISB PGP YL Applicants

[*]Application Round 1 deadline: December 15, 2024
[*]Cut-off date for experience calculation: June 15, 2025
[*]Deadline for recommendation letter: December 9, 2024

Hey !

I want to pursue PGP-yl course from ISB,Hydrabad.

currently, pursuing bachelor's of engineering(honours) in electrical engineering and renewable energy from Deakin University,Geelong,Australia.right now I am in 3rd year of my bachelor's degree. Also, preparing for gmat, and I'm confident that I will easily score 675+ easily in gmat.

my bachelor's gpa would likely to be around 3.4 to 3.5.
12th score(science-a group)- maths=89, chemistry=65, physics=55
10th score 91 percentage.

I have completed my first 3 semester from nirma university at Ahmedabad, where I had 8 sgpa in first year , then I got credit transfer to Deakin University and I admitted here in 2nd year with some credit transfer. I have participated in some event management in my previous university and have some volunteer experience in tutoring , and will do internship minimum 2 internshipsand some voluntary work before applying for isb, and would likely to have job experience in tech field for around 5-6 months, then I will return to India before my further studies.

what I should do for making my profile stronger , for isb. I need some guidance for this ,as well as should I contact to any consultant right now , my intended year for MBA is 2028.

You can always talk to a consultant and work on building your profile.

Broadly speaking, at present, you should work towards attaining your target score on the GMAT and focus on building your profile holistically (see what extra-curricular activities interest you and where you do not merely volunteer but also focus on have some impact).

Try gaining some experience that highlights your leadership potential, as well.
