SrishRK
Hi,
I’m planning to apply for 2026-27 PGP. Would like to gain insights on the preferred cut off for ISB for GRE applicants.
Considering there’s a fallout from US university candidates, are there chances that Indian B schools will face higher cutoffs?
Dear
SrishRK,
While ISB does not officially specify a GRE cut-off for applicants, based on our experience, a
score above 325 is generally considered good, and anything in the range of
328 to 330 is ideal to apply with a competitive edge.
That said, we would like to
reiterate that the GRE score is only one part of the overall application, and ISB follows a
holistic evaluation approach. So, even if your score is slightly below the ideal range, you can still have a good chance of securing a shortlist
if you present your profile impactfully and demonstrate clarity in your goals through the application essays.
To address your second question regarding the potential fallout from US university candidates, we do believe it could result in a
higher number of applicants than usual, which may make the process more competitive. However, the best approach is to
focus on putting your strongest application forward, as that is the part entirely within your control.
We would be happy to speak with you further to explore how to most effectively position your profile and how an MBA can serve as a launchpad for your aspirations.
