Dear @
suscipitsunt,
Please find below my analysis of your profile.
Academics: Above Average; there are not lot many aeronautical engineers who apply to ISB every year. This adds diversity to your profile.
Work Experience: This is the Hero element of your profile.
You should try to bring in elements of the following from your experience:
· Safety-critical engineering
· Multi-Variate Optimization
· Large-scale operations
· Government + PSU transition environment
You can talk about people centric elements like culture, integration with staff from other airline ex. Vistara, global operations and understanding how global flight transportation network works. If you have worked more on either cargo or passenger, you should demonstrate expertise and depth. Highlight an element of leadership ex. innovation and substantiate it with work example(s). Note: As the name of the program suggests, ISB is looking for proxies from your past that will give them an indication of your future leadership potential.
Extra-Curricular: Admission committees don’t get swayed/impressed by NGO certificates. Rather, they would want to understand more around if you have passion for contributing to any cause; if yes, which one and why. This can be an excellent opportunity for you to demonstrate leadership.
GMAT: You should target a score in excess of 675+ GMAT FE.
I am an ISB alum, CO15, and have been mentoring applicants successfully crack ISB for last 7 years. Feel free to reach out in case you seek professional help.
