I’m planning to apply to ISB PGP and IIM Executive Pograms and want blunt feedback on my profile-
Work Experience (~4 years | Power & Utility):
Currently in a Project/Division Lead role, driving large-scale execution in a Smart Metering program at Adani Energy Solutions Ltd. I lead 15 Junior Engineers + ~50 technicians (~65-member workforce), managing daily planning, productivity, quality control, field governance, and delivery targets.
Leadership Scope: This is not an individual contributor role. I’m accountable for execution through teams, cross-functional coordination, and delivery at scale.
Academics:
10th: 93.60%
12th: 73.38%
B.Tech (Electrical): CGPA 7.91
Is my utility domain profile strong enough for ISB, IIM ABC PGPX?
What GMAT score range gives me a realistic chance ?
Based on my background, what roles are actually achievable at ISB?

Below is my evaluation of your profile.
Academics:
Strong early academics and a solid Electrical engineering CGPA. Not a spike profile, but clean and credible. Nothing here hurts you. This aspect will neither pull you down or push you up.
Work Experience:
You owned outcomes in a complex, people-heavy environment. That’s a definite spark. However, your exposure beyond delivery is limited. You need clearer ownership of strategic decisions, financial trade-offs, and senior stakeholder influence. Also show reflection, not just control and throughput.
Extra-Curriculars:
Formally thin, but your on-ground leadership, conflict handling, and team development can substitute if articulated sharply. However, I will encourage you to Rekindle a genuine hobby (sports, music, writing) in the months b/w now and ISB PGP R1 for CO28. Take up mentoring, safety or training initiatives beyond your reporting line. Join cross-company forums or industry groups.
With 685+ GMAT FE and a well-positioned story showing academic, professional, and cultural fit, you are very much in ISB territory.
I am an ISB alum,CO15, and have been mentoring applicants crack ISB and other global programs. Feel free to reach out in case you are seeking professional mentorship.
