Hello everyone!
I'm new to this forum and impressed by the members commitment and responses. Kudos!!!
To start with I have been seriously considering doing MBA and looking for advice.
My Profile:
Education/work Experience: Ph.D. (pharmaceutical sciences with total of around 9 years of work experience (5 years post-baccalaureate and 4 years post-doctoral)
Chronological: B.Pharm (4 years)--> Pharmaceutical Industrial Experience (5 years)--> MS/Ph.D (Pharmaceutical sciences-5 years)--> Pharmaceutical formulation R&D ( 4 years and currently continuting with the same )
Personal: Male/37 years old/Indian
Now, I'm inclined to do MBA to learn the business concepts and want to be an entrepreneur or work in senior level management after MBA.
My queries are as follows:
1. Is it wise to do MBA with my profile? Is it worth the time and money?
2. If MBA could add value to my profile, what kind of MBA programes should I choose, one-year accelerated vs two year? and also is it advisable to choose Pharmaceutical management/health care concentration?
3. Which universities would best suit my profile?
Please answer/advise me of the above-mentioned queries
