My undergrad was a 3-year program (from a non-US sch) and my grades were not based on a GPA approach on a 4.0 scale.
I found an organization (
https://www.wes.org) that does credential evaluation, doing a couse-by-course evalution of my grades and coverting them to a 4.0 scale.
Although a credential evaluations is not a requirement in most schools' applications (I guess the schools do the evaluation themselves), will it be useful/helpful for me to convert my grades before applying, given my 3-years/non-4.0 scale situation?
Also, if I use this service, when I report my GPA, can I use this evaluated score (by wes.org), or should my own directly converted score? My gut feel is that the evaluted score is likely to be the higher one. I'm thinking the least I would do is to attach my evaluation report in my application.
Thanks in advance,
tk
