Hello Guys,
I am planning to do my PhD in Finance but not sure if my profile is good enough to pursue this. I Have two masters degree (One in Banking and Finance from NIBM Pune, India and other from Fudan University, Shanghai, China). My GPA's are above 3.7 in both the courses. I also have experience of working in a Bank (as a manager) from past 4 years. My area of interest is Risk Management (especially credit risk).

There are a lot of questions on this topic and the aswer could be as long as the holy bible, but in a nutshell:
when you are going to search or gain a Ph.D. position, a candidate should keep in mind actually 3 things:

- Do you have a clear project or idea of research ??
- Pursuing your Ph.D. what are you looking for indeed ??
- How much are you motivated?
- which are your expertises in the field ??

Too little information about your profile. This way, I don't think people can evaluate if your profile is good enough for a PhD in general, much less top 30. Add things like an outstanding GMAT score (specially in Quant), very strong letters of recommendations, some research experience, much clearer research interests, and yeah, maybe you are good enough.
