Hello All
I had my first PhD interview today. I can’t say I did really well on it. I think I could have done better. There were general questions and then specific questions. One question completely stumped me:
1. If you’re doing your analysis and do regression, you convert that data into tables to send to the faculty, how many errors do you think there will be?
I just was taken off guard. I asked them if I am sending this data in excel. He said it could be word or excel. I am just putting that data into tables. Well as a professional who has computers degree and has done massive data analyses, I told him, and I quote, “within my capability, there will be zero errors. Since I have such technical background, I am in a habit of cross checking my data again and again. I proof read my data before I submit it to my managers and I will follow same approaches with my faculty. I would strive for no errors”
I don’t know how should I have answers that question. Lol.
Any feedback will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
