education : electrical engineering graduate with an MBA with a first class--->60%...top 10 schools in the country...not sure about the CGPA stuff...hows that worked out?
GMAT scheduled in May 2007
work ex: 3 yrs public sector- financial institution ...semi research- includes publications: macro reports on sector performance...besides appriasal of deveoplmental studies
others...had a masters thesis on policy economics reforms
schools aimed at:
usa
1. Minnesota - Carlson (sm & o)
2. Texas - Austin - Mc Combs (sm & 0)
3. Washington - Seattle -UW buisness school (management)
4. Southern California - Mashall
5. Duke
6. UNC - Chapel Hill
7. Geogia Tech
8. ross - Michigan
canada
1. rotman - univ of toronoto
2. fms - mc gill
3. richard ivey - western ontario

With more info, I (or others) might have a better guess at your chances. I'm by no means an expert, having only myself primarily as a guide, but the following info would be helpful:
undergrad institution: how prestigious, and where you ended up in your class or gpa.
mba: same questions as for undergrad. Was is top 10 in US?
pubs: those were in academic journals?
lor's: can you get good academic references from "well-known" people?
gmat: your test date isn't for some time, but are you studying already, and if so, what are you scoring on the practice tests? I'm no expert here either, but I'm sure others are. This is, after all, the GMAT forum!
