Hey guys, I have recently given my GMAT and scored a 715. During my free time, I do this pro bono thing of mentoring GMAT aspirants. Being in the process for long and figuring a lot of things out during it, the advices which I have given have helped quite a few people get their desired scores, feel free to reach out. :))

Hey guys! Wanted to know if I need to take the IELTS/TOEFL exam for proving my English proficiency. I have completed my pharmacy from Tier 1 college of India and the medium of education was English.

Hi everyone,
I’m planning to apply to IESE in Round 2 and would love to get some practical insight into the process before I finalize my application.
I’m hoping to better understand what the journey actually looks like from the inside — how people approached their essays, what the interview was like, and anything that helped them sharpen their story and overall application strategy.
If anyone here has already gone through the process (current students, admits, or applicants further along than me), I’d really appreciate the chance to exchange a few thoughts. Even a quick conversation would go a long way.
Thanks in advance, and happy to return the favor however I can.

Hey! My biggest advice would be to spend time understanding why IESE specifically, because that comes across in both the essays and the interview. The interview is generally conversational and dives deep into your experiences, goals, and motivations, so knowing your story well is key.

Also, do connect with a few current students and alumni. Their firsthand perspectives can really help you refine your application and understand the school’s culture. All the best!

Hi everyone! I’m planning to apply to IESE Business School for the 2027 intake and would really appreciate an honest assessment of my profile and chances.

My profile:

* 26-year-old Indian female
* B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology — 7.32/10 CGPA
* 6 years of work experience in software development
* Currently working as a Software Developer, primarily in audio/video technology and XR projects
* Have worked on projects involving clients such as Qualcomm, Google, Meta and Honeywell
* GMAT(focus edition): 665
* Career goal: Transition from software engineering into Product Management/Product Marketing in a technology-driven company

I’d love to hear from current students, alumni, or applicants about how competitive my profile would be for IESE, especially with a 665 GMAT and an engineering/software background.

Would you consider my profile a realistic target, reach, or unlikely for IESE? Any honest feedback would be really appreciated!

Hi,

Your profile is definitely realistic for IESE, particularly because you have 6 years of experience and exposure to strong global technology clients such as Qualcomm, Google, Meta and Honeywell.
The 7.32 CGPA is a weaker point, but your 665 GMAT Focus helps offset it, and I would not retake unless you are confident you can move meaningfully higher.

The key will be showing progression and impact in your software career rather than simply listing technical responsibilities, especially since you want to move into Product Management/Product Marketing.
Your career goal is credible, but make the transition specific: explain what product problems you want to solve, why your current technical experience is relevant, and why an MBA is necessary now.
IESE should be viewed as a realistic target, although the final outcome will depend heavily on your leadership, impact, and application story.
I would also consider LBS, Imperial, Cambridge, Oxford, RSM, HEC Paris, and INSEAD, with the exact positioning depending on your preferred geography and career outcomes.
Overall, you have a solid international MBA profile, focus more on demonstrating leadership and business impact than worrying about being an engineer.

All the best!

Happy to connect if you’d like to discuss your profile in more detail.
