Jaslove's score wasn’t ideal for top B-schools, and he simply wasn't willing to retake the GMAT alongside his job.
For someone with an engineering background working in finance, this isn’t ideal because strong test performance is often correlated with the applicant’s caliber.
Amid stories suggesting that admissions committees are more lenient with low GRE scores, the acceptance of a low GMAT score from an Indian male candidate is rare. This is where many strong candidates get filtered out.
As we started digging deeper, we saw that, like many introverts, he was underselling the scale of his work and the real impact behind it. We worked closely with him to surface these experiences, structure them clearly, and communicate their significance to the story.
The outcome was an expedited interview and result, with an admit from HEC coming just a day after his interview, the fastest we have ever heard back.
