Antartide
Hi, I am interested in following the
Magoosh 3 Months Math Focused Study Schedule (I'll try to do that in 2 1/2 months). It seems interesting but from what I read on the
Magoosh website it seems to be focused only on math.
This is my score:
CAT TestIR scaled score = 2
IR percentile = 12
Q scaled score = 31
Q percentile = 26
V scaled score = 29
V percentile = 35
Total Score = 510
Percentile = 35IR - 10 questions, 8 incorrect
Q - 37 questions, 17 incorrect
V - 41 questions, 13 incorrectOG Diagnostic Test (taken the day after the Cat Test)
Problem Solving - Average (13/24)
Data Sufficiency - Average (10/23)
Reading Comprehension - Above Average (15/17)
Critical Reasoning - Above Average (11/17)
Sentence Correction - Above Average (13/18)
In the verbal section, particularly on the OG test, I got an above average result, but as you can see I am really not very good at math. Do you think that the Verbal score I got in the CAT and OG test makes this Math focused course suitable for me, or is it better if I also focus on the verbal part?
Dear
AntartideI'm happy to respond.
First of all, you have data from practice tests, diagnostics, and so forth, but you haven't taken the GMAT yet, so all conclusions we would draw at this point are tentative.
Here's what I'll say. If you follow the "
Math Focused 3-month Plan" rigorously, you still will do every single verbal question in the
Magoosh product. That's a ton of verbal practice! It's true, you won't be assigned to watch most of the Verbal videos, but you can always
choose to watch them, especially the more advanced ones, especially if you notice you are not doing as well as you like in the Verbal practice questions.
Also, keep in mind that how much you get from this or any study plan depends only so much on the plan itself and much more on your mindset & attitude. Read this blog carefully.
