First of all - Thanks for these tests. They are awesome!
Now my point/concern: I am a bit confused with the percentile scores on some of the tests. I have taken 3 Math and 2 Verbal section tests.
M25 (done w/o any prep at all in Apr 2011): 26/37 correct ; 65.6% tile M20 (done w/ only revising concepts no practice yet May 2011): 24/37 correct; 13.9% tile --> (damn! cannot believe this) M22 (done w/ only revising concepts no practice yet May 2011): 26/37 correct; 33.3% tile
V01 (done w/o any prep at all on Verbal May 2011): 30/41 correct: 69.2%tile V05 (done w/o any prep at all on Verbal May 2011): 25/41 correct; 29.8% tile
I wanted to take 2-3 sample tests before I start practicing and preparing as I wanted to get a good understanding of my weak and strong areas (and 1 test generally is not enough).
I am going a bit crazy now as I did not expect to score so low on Quant sections . Yes, I have not yet start practicing questions and made some silly mistakes during these tests but still these %tiles look low or highly skewed because of perhaps members taking test several times. For instance, if we look at M25 (which is a free test and most likely taken by many more people than M20 or M22), I got 26 correct which is same for M22 but the %tile diff, IMHO, is too wide.
Help: I am looking for some experts to: 1. Please guide me with understanding this discrepancy (%tile diff) and 2. with sharing what is a good score on these tough Math tests? (for instance, around 30-32 correct)
Thanks
