Hey everyone,
I'm just about to graduate ad start my first job. I'm starting to think about what I want to do in the next 5 or so years though and one thing I'm very interested in pursuing is an MBA. If you've already applied or are preparing to apply, I was wondering if you could offer some advice on what I should be focusing on in the next few years to get into a good program. I realize that I would probably drain most or all of my savings in order to afford B-school, so I personally feel like it's not worth pursuing this path unless I can get into a top 10 school.
I'm interested in getting a MBA for working as a product manager in the future.
My stats are
profile: F, Asian American
undergrad: electrical engineering with honors at Stanford, 3.7 GPA
coterm/1 year masters: electrical engineering at Stanford, 3.9 GPA
GRE: 335 (though I guess, I'll most likely need to retake this since it's only good for another 3 years)
I'm going to be working as a hardware engineer at Apple. No idea how it'll turn out, but they are the leaders in my field of interest and I really enjoyed working with them over the summer.
Besides prepping for the GMAT and looking into each school's profiles, what are other facets that you focused on or would have liked to look more into?
Thank you for any help!
