Advice for 38 years old Indian male in USA

Question

Hello Gurus,

I'm working at director level for a global technology consulting company in US. I took executive assessment and scored 148. I have bachelors in technology from a decent college in India.

I want to apply in top-20 business schools, so which ones are likely to accept my application.

Also, any prep institutes that can help me write my essays and applications.

Appreciate your help.

We have helped several mid-career professionals make it to top programs. Some mid-career MBA programs are the Sloan Fellows programs (MIT, Stanford, LBS) and the IBEAR program at USC Marshall. At your level of experience (assuming you would have ~15 years of experience at your age), other full-time MBA programs may not be options.

I’m curious what you ended up doing. Are you interested in going part time or doing an executive MBA or doing something full-time? If you are motivated to do some thing full-time, would look at the Sloan fellows programs. I’m cracking up because autocorrect put that down as salon fellows programs. Probably not that. Anyhow it kind of sounds to me like you probably do not want to vacate your position for a year and so in that case look at part time and executive options, and honestly for both of those options I would recommend that you get your executive assessment score much higher. Like in the 160+ area.  jazyb
