Physician looking for a top ranked Executive MBA Program

Question

Hello all
I am an early career physician(35 yrs) and am looking into an executive mba from a top ranked school that could help me transition to a C suite role in the healthcare industry. 
Any thoughts which school would have good training and a robust healthcare alumni to help me advance in that role.

Hi Abhinav, my physician clients seeking to pivot usually go to Wharton EMBA or MIT EMBA if you are located in the US. Kellogg is also strong for HC.

Thanks for your input. I am in the US but located on the west coast. Any EMBA programs on the west coast that have a strong healthcare alumni ?

Hi Abhinav - still Wharton but the SF campus would be my pick. It’s really the best in the West. Very rigorous - it’s the same program as FT. Berkeley is also known for HC but i have less insight there - my clients always pick Wharton between the 2.

people tend to travel for EMBA and especially for MIT because it’s every 2 to 3 weeks and the brand is great anywhere you live. Especially California/SV.

Ross has a Burbank campus for EMBA but less sure about using it to pivot. That said I have less alumni clients to inquire with. My clients tend to get into Ross as a back up but pick Wharton or MIT or Booth.

Any thoughts on the Wharton's global executive mba. It’s a newer program but it is as robust as their traditional EMBA?

I imagine that it would be, just as an FYI it requires 10 years of work experience versus 8 for SF & Philly. I think it’s kind of assumed that if you live on the West Coast you’ll be going to the San Francisco campus and I don’t think the times for the live classes are super compatible unless you are like a crazy morning person. I don’t have a client yet who has done the global program because usually they really want the in person network, the residency factor really enhances the depth of the relationships.
