Hi all,
I am new here, currently doing research and exploring EMBA vs 1-yr program options.
My background: 10-year in Equity Research, based in Singapore, studied Accountacy/Finance undergrad.
I am initially considering EMBA as I can continue to work and finance the tuition. I had considered Booth/Wharton/Kellogg/Insead and pretty much narrowed down my option to Booth. Reason is because Wharton is largely 75% online and more expensive despite the branding, Insead is not M7 and taught by local faculty, I prefer Booth's 1-week structure vs Kellogg's weekend schedule.
However I saw that Stanford has MSx and MIT Sloan Fellow 1-year program; and I amopen to taking 1-year off work as I do not have mortgage & family committment etc. Also thought that it will be more immersive, and will be nice to get some tech-related exposure vs Booth which would still be more Finance-skewed, and is essentially more of the same. But it will be more expensive vs the 2-year program and I will be out of job for at least a year. Also, not sure how much of the networking that I can bring back to Asia vs Booth which has a HK campus which likely means a lot of the students will be in Asia.
Also, any thoughts on the Harvard PLD and Stanford SEP programs? Those seems even more manageable given the time required...
If anyone has any advice, thoughts, and experience, in terms of attending any of these programs and/or your selection process, pls kindly share!
Thanks!
