i am a practising doctor in UK, will go back to india later this year. Preparing for GMAT for quite some time. I am in 4 th decade of my life. I really dont want to practise medicine any more. What are the best options for me , ie, which course, which university? Can doctors become managers?

Arunangsude, Of course doctors can become managers. People often switch careers and it doesn't matter what age group you fall in. There are truck drivers who became nurses and vice versa. Options abound but many reputable Universities offer online degrees.
Have you ever considered an MBA in Healthcare management?
I knew a friend who switched from IT into Healthcare through this program and is now working in an executive managerial role in a large US hospital group.
I'm not sure whether an MBA would add a lot of value to your resume given that you are 4X already. You probably have enough life and work experience to manage a team/project. Why not save yourself 2 years and $100k+ and pursue a less traditional path (entrepreneurship/getting in a company via networking)? It's hard to imagine a company that would take a chance on you for a management position given you lack of business experience (unless you want to manage a hospital).

can u please let me know which healthcare management programme is that? thanks
You have asked the question from the admin of this blog but I have some thing to say - There are many top Hospitals in India where you can work as a manager. The technical knowledge already you have so I am sure you can find suitable position for you. One most important thing: Clarify in your objective section of your resume that you are searching for managerial role.
