Hi everyone,
I have some questions regarding the career development in private equity. I just got an offer from a PE research firm, which supports those investment banks and private equity firms on deal information and investment research. I want to work in PE industry in the future, but I am not sure whether this is a good opportunity to start my career. Can someone give me some suggestions?

I don't think that this role is a stepping stone to a buyside-PE role (ie: one that is involved in making investment decisions). Usually PE firms hire from analysts/associates from investment banks or consulting firms.
