Age and MBA

Question

As I mentioned in a previous topic I decided to deffer my MBA admission for one year. I happen to be turning 27 this December, and when I graduate from MBA in the spring of 2014 I will be 29 turning 30.

Is it true that the competitive MC and IB recruiters prefer younger candidates, if we are talking about those who never had prior experience in these fields? I wonder what MBA grads noticed about this in their personal MBA experience.

I know that I'd be only slightly above average age, even if, but I'm just curious as to how these things work out there.

Not true from my experience (in the US). Where did you hear that from? Plenty of my classmates (myself included) will be 29/30/31 when we graduate, and many of us did our internships in MC/IB and received full time offers.

It is well said that study never ends and age can not obstruct any further study. As we know MBA is such type of degree that offers the management skills to the learners. Management skills is required in every field .That is why after getting any higher education ,one need to do MBA to manage all the things. The popularity of  Top MBA college in NCR   is on pick .In these colleges ,you can see every age of learners.

I heard it from one or two places on this forum I guess I was being lazy and could have just done a search, but here's one thread that talks about it:

The general concesus seems to say that age might be a concern only because an older person might be less willing to sacrifice personal life to career.
