I am heading to get my MBA fall of 2014 ( not sure where yet, applying to Yale, Cornell, Georgetown, Carnegie Mellon, and Vanderbilt). My background is in retail financial services as a financial advisor for a bulgur bracket IB. My question is, what position can I expect to obtain out of B-school with no previous management consulting experience? Do I need to put my time in as an analyst first or can I move straight into an associate level role since I would have an MBA?

All of the MBA hires I know came in at the associate level (Deloitte / Accenture / IBM). I'm not sure about MBB, though.

MBA level hires are put into associate (MBA-level) positions at M/B/B, it doesn't matter what your previous pre-mba experience was.
