Hello,
I'm on the older end of the candidate spectrum here (32 when I begin my full-time program). I'm coming from a retail background.
Will my age preclude me from recruitment in a retail consulting firm like Kurt Salmon or a retail division of one of the Big 3? I'm heading into a Top 25 program in the Fall.

No. Age discrimination is illegal. Individual recruiters may have their own biases one way or another, but shouldn't impact you significantly one way or another. The one thing you'll need to show is that you'll be okay with the road-life in your mid 30's.
