This is Suganth. I am new to gmatclub. I had preparing for Gmat for the past 2 weeks. I was attempting OG 12 questions. Most of the questions I am able to solve it correctly within 2 mins using my approach. But in the OG 12 book an alternate method of solving is mentioned for some questions. So my question is should I try to note the alternates approaches mentioned in the book and try to remember them besides my approach or else I can just ignore them and continue with my approach. Is it worth spending time on remembering alternate approaches besides one's approach if one is planning to take Gmat in a month's time ? Please clarify
This really depends on the question being answered. If the alternative method you are talking about introduced a new concept through which you can tackle the question, by all means go ahead and absorb it. However, if it is just another trick to solve a very specific type of problem, you can give it the go-by.
