There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
I have a BA in German and a minor in Spanish, not really knowing what I wanted to do with that degree. I studied them mostly because I love languages and I wasn't really thinking about what I was going to do with that. I tried teaching for a year only to discover that I hate working with other people's kids (my own are just fine, though). I've thought about translating or going back to school. My question is: does anyone know of any specific companies that are looking to hire foreign language majors?
Opportunities are near endless - Spanish means you can do Emerging Market related work in the US, combined with German opens up most of Europe.
I would recommend looking at European schools for your MBA to best take advantage. INSEAD is pretty much set up for someone like yourself, especially as they encourage further language study.
or LBS - but yeah European languages are a huge plus when recruiting in europe.many jobs here esp in finance sector almost insist on a European language.
