Hi all,

From MGMAT: Factors of a number can be found by building all the possible products of the prime factors...

It seems to me that this lends itself to using combinatorics to calculate the NUMBER of possible factors of a number… You would find the prime factors then find all the different combinations of the prime factors? Can someone please confirm this is correct?

Yes, you are correct

I have explained here how you may do this, and derived the formula for it in general using combinatorics.

shrouded1: with a GMAT of 760, you'd be straight into LBS surely?!

Still have to take my GMAT... completely lost on what strategy i should take for studying.

I have bigger demons to slay

I already have a job that most MBAs look to get post degree ... This summer if it wasnt for some unforseen plans, I was supposed to be one of the intern mentors (which included MBAs, my team had someone from INSEAD I think) !

So for me the task really is to have a new goal in mind if I want to do an MBA ... when I want to leave finance I'll probably go for the MBA, within this field, the degree is not a value add for me. Plus the opportunity cost of lost income is very high as well.
