36 members salary is > 5000 ( as 64% of them are getting salary lesser than 5000)
40 members salary is < 4000
24 members salary is between 4000 - 5000 (64%-40%)
of these 24 member, 11 members get salary of 4300 & 5 members get salary of 4900:
For the rest 8 members (24-11-5) salary is unknown.
assuming any value for the salaries of these 8 members in the range of 4000-5000 will not alter the median since the median is the average of salary of 50th and 51st member.
when the data is arranged in ascending order 50th and 51st terms will only be 4300,4300 respectively.
Hence Median is 4300$.
