Hi guys, I have scheduled my Gmat for early July.
I scored 42 on the quant section of the MGMAT practice test.
I'm hoping to improve it to a 45 or so.

What would be the best strategy to improve my quant (while studying for Integrated Reasoning) in 30 days?

My idea was to solve all problems in OG quant book under a time constraint and go over the answers carefully taking any necessary notes..

Hello,

Your performance in MGMAT quant - 42 is a good indicator of your strong quant. A few questions

1) Did you score 42 at MGMAT consistently for a few tests or it was one single test
2) have you identified your weak areas ?
3) Do you think you have any time managment problems ?
4) Out of your test, please check a) in how many Qs did you take more than 3 mins b) how many of these were correct ?

In terms of resources, I would suggest you to practice from sources such as Kaplan Q Bank or Grockit.

1) 2 other tests that I took about 1-2 years ago I got a 41 and a 35 in quant. I'm definitely more comfortable with it now though.
2) Weak areas are # properties , overlapping sets, Geometry (mostly DS).
3) I had to guess on 2 problems, to make sure I had enough time for the last 2 problems. In my previous exams I did have to guess on about 5 or so to finish the test on time.
4) 4 problems took me more than 3 minutes. Only got 1 of those correct.

I suggest that you do as much of the GMATClub Quant Practice Tests. And maintain an error log.

Hi,

I suggest the following:

I sincerely believe that OG is sufficient for you to get 45 in quantitative.

Answer OG (brown and green) under a time constraint and KEEP an error log. After that practice GMATPrep material and MGMAT (I must warn you that MGMAT quant is very time-consuming.)

Anyway, how's your verbal going?
