On the GMAT, if we are given a circle with two points A and B marked on it, and we are asked a question regarding the arc AB, then is it correct to assume that the question is talking about the minor arc AB? This becomes quite relevant in case of DS questions. Please help. My GMAT is just 2 days away.

The universal rule in every Geometry book I have ever seen in my life is --- an arc marked only with two point is ALWAYS by default the minor arc. If one wants to specify the major arc, one absolutely cannot use a two-point name: rather, one has to place a third point (say, "C") somewhere on the major arc, and call the major arc by a proper three-letter name, ACB. I have never seen an exception to this universal convention.
