Thanx a ton Ankit for your advise.

Personally I feel i am not aware of the shortcuts which can help me in solving problems quickly. Due to this I do panic in later questions and i guess this affects my score. To improve speed i need to know certain shortcuts or tricks which can help me. Can you help me with this??
HI,

I personally did not follow any shortcut or trick and ended up getting 51.
So, i guess these shortcuts and tricks are not necessary to hit 50/51.
In the end its about how much practice you do and how your brain interprets the question.

Hi Ankit,
You must weigh your options and the results obtained from them. Verbal is not some rocket science.
However, There is room for improvement in both.
Since you've asked for quant, gmatclub tests are the best bet IMHO. I've done the jeff's challenge sets and about 15 old pattern gmatclub tests. Most of the questions in jeff's sets were 600-700 level barring the extreme challenge tests , however, Gmatclub tests will test you in the upper most level of GMAT quant and hence you will gain much more than what you will gain from jeff's sets.
also read this the-final-climb-quest-for-q-50-from-q47-129441.html
that's my individual opinion so feel free to try one jeff's set and one gmatclub test.
Come back and do post your opinion.
my 2 cents. :)

Hi..I am rohit..I have already appeared for GMAT twice with bad scores( 630 & 570) . I am thinking of taking GMAT again this September.
I used to think that I am really good at Quant but all that myth is broken when I saw my scores in Quant 47 & 48 respectively.

I have to take my Quant score to 50 as English will always remain a weak area for me. Please tell me the source or books which will take me from a score of 48 to 50 in Quant. I want to practice those tricks and questions which can help me in achieving Quant score of 50.

Please advise me. I need to find good source for practicing Quant.

Regards

Rohit

Most of it is Quant based. I discuss more logical/intuitive approaches which save time and effort (along with other things).

Also, sadly, Q48 to Q50 will not give you much score advantage. Go back to Verbal and fight the enemy.

Hi Karishma

Thanks lot for your advise. Can you advise me how much will my GMAT score will improve if my Quant score becomes 50. I am assuming i will Touch 30 in Verbal.
Can you suggest me? This will help me analyze in a Better way.

Since i am strong in Maths i want to make full use of my strength . That is the reason i want to reach from 48 to 50. I am trying hard in English as well but want to make sure i play to my strength. Looking forward for your advise.

Regards

Rohit

Here is a chart: https://www.mbagambit.com/wp-content/up ... -Table.gif
Q50, V30 is around 660. It's not an official chart so it can only give you an estimate.
