How do you solve this?

4/.25 which is all divided by 1/50

The answer I obtain is 800, Princeton Review says 8. Am I doing something wrong?

if it is (4/.25)/(1/50)=800
if it is (4/25)/(1/50)=8

make sure which question is correct. which PR you are talking? crack the gmat, math book, or manual or which one?

it's 800, no doubt.

but in terms of solving, I love fractions, so that's how i did it.

convert the .25 to 1/4

then 4/(1/4)=4x4=16/(1/50)=16x50=800

This question:

(4/.25)/(1/50)

was in the 2005 Edition of The Princeton Review: Cracking the GMAT. It was in Chapter 9, on pg. 68, Drill 4, #4. The answer on pg. 300 is "8."

Has anyone else found mistakes in Cracking the GMAT?
