Hi all,

I'm preparing for the GMAT using the book series Manhattan GMAT 5th edition.
After having finished the strategy guide "Number Properties" and having checked the indexes of other guides, I noticed that there is no theoretical section about Sequences and Series (and no related specific exercises as there are for all other topics, as Probability for example). They spend only a couple of words on it in the book Algebra.
What I would like to find, instead, is something like this:
guide-to-series-and-sequences-arithmetic-and-geometric-85969.html

It sounds strange that they didn't include a specific chapter just for it.
Why can't I find it?
Are there any other Quantitative-related arguments I should do that are not well covered in MG?

That blog article contains five GMAT-like practice questions.

Understand that sequences & series is vast topic in mathematics as a whole. There's a ton in this topic that is just way beyond anything the GMAT would expect you to know.

Very well pointed out dear. In addition to the awesome articles Karishma has mentioned, try going through the document I am uploading along with this message.
Know, If you are studying maths from MGMAT I will suggest that you get the GMAT CLUB Mathematics Guide too. I just think the GMAT CLUB Guide will supplement your concept very well. In fact, in my humble opinion, this guide covers a few topics more thoroughly and in depth than the MGMAT Quant books do. Here is a list of topics I think you should cover from the GMAT CLUB Guide:

1- Factorials (Page 21, Hardly covered in MGMAT)
2- Remainders (Page 27, Solid Rules here and The Practice and Tricks are amazing)
3- Advanced Overlapping Sets (Page 49, From MGMAT learn the Overlapping sets for two groups [yes, that matrix approach, its the best method there is for two sets] but for three sets GMAT CLUB Guide simply kills it, plus the relevant examples)
4 - Polygons and Circles (Page 66 and Page 72 Use the MGMAT Geometry book first; but immediately follow it with these sections, you'll see what I mean).
5- Standard Deviation (Page 101, MGMAT has dedicated only two pages to this topic, here you'll learn it in depth. Plus I think try to learn how to calculate Standard Deviation itself. Its not necessary but It will help you understand why certain tips are given; it will help you get confidence. And its amazingly simple).
6- Coordinate Geometry: (Page 81: Now MGMAT covers this topic adequately. But On GMAT CLUB guide they are given quite it depth. Again, simply learning the advance concepts helps you get the confidence you need for GMAT level questions).

Finally, MGMAT Quant books are the best there are (my sincere apologies to Veritas and Kaplan but there are gaps. and GMAT CLUB guide simply help you with those gaps. On a final note, Use gmat club tags. 25 PS and 25 DS and you have very solid command on the topic. Do the 600-700 level questions first, Young Skywalker! :P
