Hello,
My target score for GMAT Quantitative is in the range of 61 to 65 percentile. Would I need to concentrate on Probablity for this score?
I took GMAT 15 days ago and my Quantitative percentile was 44 and Verbal 68. The EMBA B-School I applied required a minimum of 61 percentile in Quantitative. The CAT scores were in 55 percentile, so 44 was a shocker. I have planned to take the three GMAC Focus Quant tests to make sure I am not shocked the next time.
In GMAT I got a Probablity question in the first 10 and also between the 20th-30th questions. I believe I had not got it correct. I was told by peers that Probablity, Permutation and Combination questions appear after 65'th percentile. So I did not concentrate on these subjects. However, I have noticed atleast one Probablity question in the first 10 questions in all the CATs and GMATs. When the CAT score was (Quant) 55 percentile, I had got the Probablity question correct. At the moment, Probablity is my weakness. I want to understand my core weaknesses and feel Probablity obstructed the path to other questions that would have been my strengths.
May I request the suggestion of gurus in this forum.

You get 2-3 questions on probability so ignoring it is not a big problem. That said, we do usually suggest people to go through the basics. The 600 level questions of PnC are quite straight forward and time savers. You can do them easily is less than a minute. Also, the basics are intuitive and do not require too much work.
Our PnC book covers the concepts extensively. If you go through it thoroughly (you can ignore the advanced concepts in the book), you should have no problem attempting the questions you get.

Thanks Karishma. That's very useful. I can understand from your reply that my weakness may not be probability but something else. I suspect the Number properties and Arithmetic.
BTW, I could not find the PnC book that you mentioned. Can you please send me a link?
