I have a terrible habit of forgetting to integrate the given information ("givens") when doing the quant section. Givens could be something like "x and y are positive integers". I have a habit of writing down such information and I make a point to read carefully, but I somehow get caught up in the math and tend to still forget stupid things such as this. Does anyone have any tips for not making this mistake? Much appreciated.

Hi,

For any DS question, I would right the given info on top and then fit every ans to it.
eg.
x is an integers. What is x?
a. x is even.
b. x is prime.

I would write this as :

x -> int x=? ( top line shows wat is given, and what is asked. Always keep an eye on this line)
A D | B C E
x is even | x is prime
cant conclude anything | no extra info. Cant conclude anything.
cut A and D on top. | Cut B

since C gives me the ans 2( remeber the top line, its an int).
Recall what is asked, from top line ..?? value of x.
We have an answer. C. No need to evaluate E.
