Hi schazamhuzzah,

Since there are so many variables that go into properly selecting a Business School to apply to, it's really not my place to recommend any specific Schools to you. Since you've listed some really competitive Schools, and you have a pretty good idea of what you're looking for, the Admissions Experts might be able to offer some additional suggestions. They have a Forum here:

With a Q49, it's difficult to pinpoint any specific areas that you need extra practice in, but there are opportunities for you to pick up points in the Verbal section. As such, I can recommend the EMPOWERgmat Verbal Score Booster. Most of our clients finish that Study Plan in under a month, so it would fit your schedule perfectly. During that time, you'll also be able to access any of the Quant resources that interest you.

You undoubtedly have a strong foundation in Quant, but have you done any self-assessment to determine where you might improve? Without that, it's hard to give reliably good advice. You might ask yourself the following:

- are there any topics that you feel unconfident about when they appear on your tests?
- do you make many careless mistakes? If so, have you made an effort to determine what types of mistakes they are, and have you changed your approach to reduce their number?
- do you have any difficulty with pacing, and do you know what pacing strategy to use?

If you can pinpoint the areas where you could improve, you certainly have time to raise your score to at least a Q50. You should prioritize any official questions you haven't yet solved (the new OG, the Question Pack, the extra GMATPrep tests), but if you need additional material, I wouldn't recommend material pitched at a general audience, because much of that will not be sufficiently challenging for a test taker at your level.

Thank you for your suggestions, Rich. EMPOWERgmat verbal booster does sound tempting given my schedule, but I haven't even gone through the GMAC material I bought last year owing to my heavy work schedule. I just wanted to see if its a sound strategy to go through the GMAC stuff in the last few weeks. I am happy knowing that there is someone who is willing to listen and respond if I am stuck in the process :) I feel a little more informed having interacted with you Rich. Thanks a lot! :-D

Hi Ian, you have pointed out the exact things I was concerned about in my Quant :)
I have 3 quant diagnostic tests from GMAC and also 2 gmatprep remaining. I intend to use these to scope in on my pain areas using the diagnostic tests today. Hopefully, I will be able to find issues I can work on. Thank you!

Hi Experts

I Noticed I had already taken one of the diagnostic test (did not even remember it :) ).

I just took both the test today and have attached the screen capture of my results. Below is the breakdown of the results.

The order of screenshots is from bottom to top

Diagnostic Test 1: 09-April
24 questions, 45 mins : 16 correct 8 wrong - 4 DS (2 numbers, 1 equation, 1 probability), 4 PS (2 equations, 1 probability, 1 mod)

Diagnostic Test 2: Today, 13-June
24 questions, 45 mins : 22 correct 2 wrong - 2 DS (1 percentage, 1 lines)

Diagnostic Test 3: Today immediately after the 2nd test
24 questions, 45 mins : 19 correct 5 wrong - 4 DS (2 percentage, 2 fractions), 1 PS (1 compound Interest)

It looks like I need to be extra careful on DS question and need to improve quite a bit in Numbers, Fractions and Equations, along with probability.
I hope posting here gives me the additional motivation to kep track of and improve in these weak areas. I Hope by the end of this week I can address Numbers, Fractions and Equation

If you have any suggestions kindly let me know thanks!
