I was just wondering.. are the gmat quant math problems we discuss these tough... because I used to have 95% hit ratio in quant from princeton,kaplan, and OG..
but out here, I am down to 70%...
It makes me wonder, am I going worst and worst the more I practice?

I also doubt whether ALL the questions on GMAT will be of this level of difficulty. Having said that some of these questions have helped me in understanding the concepts better and improving my thought process (or atleast I believe so
)
I always used to fear the inequality and modulus type of questions, but after practicing for >1 month, I still can't solve some of them, but I don't fear them anymore.
So In my opinion the questions on the forum should be used as learning tools rather than measuring sticks of ones so called "level" (I hate that word!) of math.
Let me give you an example. I am working on the SC1000 and I have a hit rate between 60%-80%. Some days I do really worse 58%
. Does that mean I am an idiot? Probably not. I just take it positively and try to learn the concept that is needed to answer such questions.
Moreover, you are doing great and I have definitely benifited from your answers. So why have such doubts? Keep the same attitude as your login name and I am sure you will do well.

I have BEEN VERY DEPRESSED OVER THE GMAT FoR 1 WEEK NOW..
I guess i have to practice DS... Somehow I am worried that the new tests have lot more such tough DS... than Princeon or Kaplan.. but I guess with a little bit more practice.. i will pick it up..
If you are getting 80% hit ratio in SC.. i should not feel that bad.. i have been in that ratio in SC for a long while.. Eventually I hope I will reach 90%.. and thats when I decide to give my GMAT..
