Thank you for your reply. Are there any overlaps with those questions and MGMAT or GMAC CATs? Where are those questions sourced?

Please look at the source before you work on it. Have highlighted one question
from GMATPrep and one from GMATPrep Question Pack(Avoid whichever source
you plan to give a test in)

Hope this helps you!

Hi all,

Recently decided to take the GMAT with very little prep just to see what it would be like and ended up with a fairly good verbal score (mid 90%) and a really low quant score (~20%). I figure I'm going to heavily focus my efforts on the quant section, and was wondering if you all would have any recommendations for drilling quant questions, perhaps by difficulty level? I am thinking I will start with sub-600 level questions until I am very confident in not making mistakes, then attempt to master 600-700 level questions, then get some 700+ questions.

It would be awesome if any of you could point me toward a resource where you can just answer Quant questions, perhaps by level (as opposed to by topic), with explanations/answers. If anybody has any other recommendations on how to best prep in light of a very skewed split, please let me know as well!

Thanks!

Hi landoro15

You already received very good answer regarding your answer to improve quant score.

If you decide to try with books also then this is how they are arranged in terms of quality and difficulty :

For starters Kaplan and Princeton are the best, with questions that will be in 650 range.

For advanced questions you should use Manhattan prep books and/or Veritas prep books.

They will be in 700+ range.

Also, as already mentioned you should use GMAT club questions and/or purchase GMAT club tests.

Beside that, if you still need challenging questions NOVA GMAT prep course book/ NOVA GMAT Bible, will be good way to go.

One caveat, questions from NOVA are not always exactly GMAT type structured but they test exactly the same skills and they are excellent prep.

The NOVA GMAT prep course/NOVA GMAT Bible would be good for anybody who wants to excel in those topics that GMAT tests on exam.

Of course, you should practice Official questions from Official guides and GMATPrep software, that goes without saying :)

Finally, you may decide that you need full online math prep course guided step by step.

For best GMAT course suitable for your needs, you should check here reviews on GMAT Club and decide which one is most suitable and/ affordable for you.

If money/time is not an issue for you should by some of the best ones, with best marks and satisfied genuine opinions :)

Good luck and happy prep ! :)

This is an old topic, but since somebody bumped it, I thought I'd comment in case anyone is reading it now with the same question in mind! This situation (haven't prepped much yet, looking for a simple source of high-quality questions sorted by difficulty) is exactly what the Official Guide to the GMAT is made for you. You really can't do better than that. The explanations are a little lacking, probably because of space concerns, but you can use something like MPrep's GMAT Navigator (or a Google search of the first few words of the question) to find much more thorough explanations in almost all cases.
