I get 45/4 as well.

If X is the price of product P and Y is the price of product Y - then

2/3X=5/3Y
X= 5/2 Y

=>9/2X= 9/2*5/2 Y

= 45/4

How did you get 135/12 kook?

135/12 is the answer.

Here is my approach:

1. Find the ratio btween the new lbs (9/2) and the previous one (2/3)

(9/2) / (2/3) = 27/4
Do not forget about the same amnt of money for both X and Y.
So the new lbs for Y = 5/3*27/4 = 135/12.

Approach to check the answer choice 135/12:

From th Qstem we see that amnt of lbs of Y is exactly 2.5 times more then that of X.
So 9/2 lbs of X * 2.5 = 11.25 = 135/12.

That's why I always post in my questions answer choices.

IMHO it's very impolite (regarding the Gclubbers) to post questions without answer choices. :evil:

Hope that joemama142000 will take it into account and next time will post questions with answer choices.
