And what if line K and the y-axis are the same thing?
Then K would intersect the y-axis in point (0,0) and all the other infinite points for which x=0

Is that a possible explanation? I am not quite sure.
What is your opinion?

Line K is parallel to line L. What is the slope of L?

1) Line K does not insect with axis-x
2) Line K insects with axis-y at the point (a, 0)

question is ok...

it should be A, for which we all agree that the slope is 0.

but about B, i donot agree. k could intersect y axix from anywhere and it doesnot give us any clue about the slope of line k or l. no matter the value of x, the slope cannot be determined because we need two values to find the slope of a line.

St1:
Sufficient. Tells us the line is parallel with x-axis.

St2:
Insufficient. Could be a line parallel to x, or a negative or positive sloped line cutting y axis at (a,0)

Ans A

Answer is A:
1 sufficient - slope is 0
2 not suff since we need to know two points to determine the line and its slope
