When produce a product, the relation between the output and the time is h=ax+b, where a, b are constants, h is time and x is output. It took 2 hours to produce 100 products and 3 hours to produce 200 products. How many hours would it take to produce 500 products?

I used equations to get to the answer.

1. 2 = 100a + b
2. 3 = 200 a + b


a = 1/100 , we could get the value of b = 1

h = ax + b

h = 1/100 * 500 + 1
h = 6

Given:
h=ax+b

Putting given values eqn formed are

2=100a+b
3=200a+b

Solving the eqn we get
a=1/100 and b=1

h=500*1/100 +1
h=6
Hence time to produce 500 products is 6 hrs
