Has anyone experienced getting several easy(ish) questions at the end of the quant section and still got a high score (49+)? I definitely had a few 700-800 questions in the exam that I know I got correct but was surprised to see a few easy ones at the end

Yeah it happened for me as well. Getting last 3-4 questions on quant pretty easy and the final score was 50

(1) The difficulty level each of us feel about one particular question may be quite different from that assigned by GMAT.
(2) For test content coverage, GMAT may have to present test takers (esp. those already at 50-51 range) with slightly easier questions between different areas.
(3) A good strategy is to not to worry about assessing any question's difficult level but to answer each question carefully and speedily. Maintain the momentum. Enjoy the challenge!
