Please guys, don't just tell me answer is C, I know you can solve it fast and correct. Please explain math behind it.
I know formula AUBUC=A+B+C-(AB+BC+AC)+ABC, but how do I apply it?
Let's say I'm looking at 2) first:
25+30+35-(16+17+18)+ABC, how do I solve for ABC?
Set A, B, C have some elements in common. if 16 elements are in both A and B, 17 elements are in both A and C, and 18 elements are in both B and C, how many elements do all three of the sets A, B, and C have in common?
1). of the 16 elements that are in both A and B, 9 elements are also in C
2). A has 25 elements, B has 30 elements, and C has 35 elements.

1) is true because the 9 is exactly what it is asking about.
2) is not true, because you don't have the total number of distinct numbers.
Write out the formula like:
25 + 30 + 35 - 16 - 17 - 18 + x = ? u don't know.,
