sqrt(-1) = i
Question with sqrt of negative number never appears on GMAT.

As Juaz said, you'll never see it on the GMAT.

FYI,

sqrt(-1) = i

which is an imaginary number....you'll see it in "complex analysis"

It's the imaginary number i or j. Imaginary numbers are not tested on the GMAT.

it is 'i'.

Its a complex number.
