A library determines the overdue charges for books on the first day by charging .10$. Each additional day is charged by either .30$ or by doubling the previous day's fee. What is the overdue charge on a book on the fourth day it is overdue.

.60$

.70$

.80$

.90$

1.00$

The question implies two correct answers.

$1 or $0.8

how are we supposed to chose one correct?

dude derz a typo in d sum...
i hav solved it before and OA is correct
1st day=.10
2nd day=.20(.10+.10)
3rd day=.40 (.20+.20)( cuz .20 is less than .30)
4th day=.70(.40+.30) (cuz if u double .40 it'll b .80 which is greater than .30)

hope u got it :)

Ya I got it... I didn't realize you could use BOTH... I thought each had to be seperate so I came up with .80cents...

Thats just annoying.
