(58^2 + 58^2)/29^2. For some reason i keep getting 4. Pls help.
If you post how you got to four, I'll help you figure out where you went wrong.
I'm predicting that it was during this step:
2(58^2)
to
2(2*29*2*29)
I'm thinking he left out one of those 2s. Perhaps he did 2(2*29*29). It's the easiest place to make a mistake and wind up with 2^2 instead of 2^3.
Possibly. But other mistakes are possible that aren't careless. For example, it's possible to cancel 29^2 with each of the 58^2's above, and thinking that just leaves you with 2x2. That would point to a real need to bone up on exponents, which is a commonly misunderstood topic at the outset of studying.
