I must have completely misunderstood this problem. :?

c=cost
l = lenght of slab
t = thickenss
k= constant.

C = k * L^2 * t

1) k * L1^2 * t1 +160 = k* L2^2 * t1
L1, t1, L2, t1 are given in the equation .. we can find K.

Subsititu k to find the cost (in original question)..
C = k * L3^2 * t3

suffcieint
2) same as above
Suffciient


D is the answer.

One more for D. BTW, Nice solution, Suresh. Some of you folks on this forum must consider becoming a Kaplan tutor when you are done with this GMAT thing.
