For the first question,

Answer is E. both are insufficient.

For the Second Question,

1) 1/4 of Total Area

2) 1/6 of Total Area

for first answer is A

tangent is at 90 deg. and anything parallel to it will be perpendicular

Is there any way (2) can be sufficient for Q1?

BC = BD, which means it is isosceles..
I have a vague notion that a circle inscribed in an isosceles triangle means it is a right angle triangle.

Or is there any way to prove it is insufficient?
