answer is 35
you can break the equation as (1/5)^m (1/4)18= 1/2(5^35*2^35)=1/2^36*5^35
basically the right side of the equation can be broken into multiples. 10 is a multiple of 5 and 2, so it can also be written as 5^35 *2^35
thank you ALD. That makes sense. I see a pattern in this kind of problems where you start working from the result backwards as opposed to what I tried doing.
