this question was from peterson's gmat exam. Let me type there solution word for word:

Statement 1 is sufficient (as we had stated)

Statement 2: This gives you Robert's typing rate in pages per minute. You know how many pages are in the manuscript, so having the rate in pages/minute allows you to solve:

120 pages * (48 minutes/10 pages) = typing time. Thus statement 2 is also sufficient, and the answer is D

either the ques shud say that words/page is constant or say that typing rate per page is constant, ques wording is vague.

If we go through the gmat strategy of the most of the gmat takers (7xx scorer), PETEROSON, BARONS, ARCO, DUMMIES, INSIDER'S, ALL ARE WASTE OF TIME.
I agree with them (i.e 7XX CLUB MEMBER).
